We wrap up our 2010 Premium Helmet Comparison between the Arai Corsair V, Shoei X-12, Shark RSR2 and Bell Star Helmets in this video.

http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/StoreFront.bok

End of the day all four of these are amazing helmets. Our goal here is not to pick a winner, it is to point out the differences between each helmet to help you choose the right one for you. Each of these represents a signifigant investment and we feel it is important you have as much information as possible.

  • i know you said you are a medium but i was wondering what exactly your head size is. I'm thinkin i want to go with the new Shark, RSR2 because of weight. I seem to measure a medium but on the low size of the medium size. Can't find the RSR2 within driving range so i have to order online. i want to make sure i get it right, either small or medium. thanks again for these reviews

  • @tlh235 I measure 58cm dead on and wear a medium.

  • Thanks for making this review :)

  • Not sure if it matters but how about making a new version of this comparison? Maybe toss in the agv gp tech, and other premium helmets?

  • @QuiKNiK80 i 2nd that

  • I'm new to riding and don't know much about gear. I noticed my chin is visible when viewed from the side like about 1/4 - 1/2 inches. But I saw it is that way for you too so... I'm guessing this shouldn't be a problem as I thought it would?

  • What about the AGV GP-TECH Helmet???????

  • @dreasmeister I would rate all four of the helmets represented here on a totally different plane than the KBC stuff. Out of all of these I would say I see very few visor related issues. If I had to say which one I saw the most out of the four it would be the Arai.

  • @Sportbiketrackgear

My first helmet was a KBC and it has a similar visor mechanism as a Shoei, minus the locking tab. Problem with it in the 1st year was 1mm of plastic off the corner chipped/broke off through normal use. Now when I put the visor up ALL the way, there is nothing to prevent the one side from flying off. Now I'm very critical of how well a visor is held on.
