imac g3: its incredibly simply, first you need to make sure if your computer can take 1gb of ram, do this by turning the machine and opening the machine in open firmware mode,open firmware mode turn on the imac g3 whilst holding the apple, option, o & f key down, if it say 4.19, you're ready to install the ram.
For the ram you need either a 168 pin pc 133 ram module or pc 100 module, the amount of ram you want to put in is your choice, for tray loading you need different ram.
