@johnnnyreb51 Fire ants are mean. I have a few mounds under some scrap metal. They are my security guards as it has gotten stolen in the past.

How about A Class Action Lawsuit against them who are spraying our sky's ? I mean, If I buy solar panels for electricity and they spray like they do, this blocking the sun is costing me and everyone who owns solar panels.

What did you do as to why there was mold that came about after remodeling the first time? How did you detect it were there wet/mold spots or did you do an unseen test?
I have been working on a glorified shed/greenhouse the past year and I was stuffing the roof with newspaper for a bit till I realized what I was doing and changed over to USPS Tyvek envelopes : ). I have a feeling I am going to regret the newspaper in the roof soon..Thanks for the inspiration and KEEP IT UP! We share your drive!

Have you guys heard of a Edison Battery? Old school battery that last forever, it's easy to make, and get's better over time. I just heard about it and wonder if anyone knows anything.

In Los Angelus county California DA thugs with the building inspector will bull doze down your home IF you are not on the grid. Talk about ANTI_TRUST... LA county California is totally fascist and in bed with California Edison Electric company!!
why wont u americans build a solid brick house for once and be done with it forever.. i live in a house that has been build almost a century ago and it is in GREAT shape.

@DarkoMFS Agreed, money is one reason. Our shop where we work was built in the 50's by an amazing brick layer and it is SOLID. We get hurricanes here so we evacuate there if a storm comes near. This house when it was in foreclosure before we purchased got water damage from one storm.

OH man... your house worries me a little... but, I guess you're in the south and structural loading isn't a huge issue... so glad you have your mold issue zapped. Sick houses not good... no plenums? You're sharp, healthy and ambitious... I really do enjoy your videos. Shame on the person who reported you to the Code Officials, being that you ARE improving the structure one bit at a time... be well. Fred

@HTCSWEOD :-) one neighbor got coded and reported everyone. I thought it was from the video so I zapped it. The structure is stronger now as I reinforced a lot with braced inside the studs. I am not a huge fan of mobile homes but this was right next door to my Mom and we needed to be close after my Dad passed away in 2006:-( We are like one big piece of property more or less.

Hang in there, guys. You're doing something quite interesting by staying off the grid all the while performing major house-rehabilitation. Impressive! :)
