    You can't expect it to be a supercar with just 211 hp.

  • Good that PSM was active ^. From the shifting i have heard its a 5 speed manual. Long gearbox though. I prefer my cayman S.

    By the way...

    PASM=Porscheactivesuspensionmanagement

    PSM=Porschestabilitymanagement (ESP)

  • Did you like the Cayman? I drove it at Thruxton and I was really disappointed, now much power and not much poise either, I didn't think it was as good as the press claims. Did you drive the S version? Nice driving Btw.

    Cheers

  • Good stuff... What was your tyre pressue?

  • Listen to the car's engine note. I mentioned the on/off/on throttle application at Hatzenbach. It's also evident on the first corner at Hohenrain and also on the very turn-in to Flugplatz. As a result at Flugplatz you can hear the small amount of yaw from the rear. Weight transfer management!

  • You're going really well for that amount of laps. Took me much longer to build up to that pace. It's only after more laps that you'll find that smoothness and be able to better judge speed into the corner. Did you check out the action at Kesselchen in Si's other video? Awesome background action.

  • Thanks guys for the advice and praise. This is my 2nd lap driving the Cayman and only 15th lap drving the Nurburgring ever. I've done maybe 25 laps as a passenger. Thanks to BadRoo and Nurrish for their advice and training. I was going too fast into some corners as just got too excited again, gotta calm down and listed to what I'm being told! Regards, Ivan

  • Wehrseifen, Flugplatz and Adenauer Forst were good. Heel and toe practice needed. ;)

  • Corner exit speed is being compromised by turn-ins that are too fast on quite a few corners. Chicane, Hatzenbach, Kallenhard, Wipperman, Galgenkopf - all too fast/still trying to scrub off speed in the initial phase of the corner. Bergwerk was very good though as was Mutkurve.

  • Good job the PASM kicked in at 9:15.... (Panicking Anright Stability Management).
