TOM RIDGE: When I got elected with John, we had high unemployment, high inflation, high interest rates but there was a guy who had never spent a day at a corporate office come in and say, I need to cut taxes, I need to get spending under control, I need to limit the growth of government. Oh by the way, that guy's name was Ronald Reagan. So it's not able being able to manage money, it's about having a basic philosophy that says, that takes you down a pro-growth, pro-employment, pro-competitive agenda. Well, I think John's economic plan is pretty significant.
