Project Direct 2009 Short Film is a glimpes at And We Will Dance Documentary

www.andwewilldance.com. Burnt Sienna is a short film which was submitted to the 2009 Project Direct online competition sponsored by Sundance Film Festival, Youtube, and Moviefone. This short film is a glimpse into what drives artist Steve Childs to paint dancers for twenty-six years. It also presents some of what will be seen in the upcoming documentary film titled "And We Will Dance". Throughout his career Childs has been allowed into the often private world of dancers, to vicariously experience their blood, sweat, and tears. In the upcoming film "And We Will Dance", as director, Childs focuses his attention on dancers at the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Dance. Working with student from UNCSA School of Filmmaking they record the lives of several dance students as they pursue their passion to dance. The film is currently in post-production.
