it's because they first start off with the basic punch (this video was taken at a mass demonstration of the newley promoted orange belt) then it gets harder by using stances such as forward stance and stuff.. ^_^

they in a kokozudachi stance i dont know if i wrote it right its a beginers stance and is the first stance in the most katas but this little kids are new to karate because their basic technike is the worst i have ever seen at any begginers sry for my bad english...
