If the Luftwaffe had committed to building large four engine bombers in significant numbers early in the war, it COULD have had a significant impact on the outcome of the war.
They would have been able to bomb Soviet production when it was moved east of the Ural mountains.
They would have been able to hammer London and the rest of Britain, possibly ending the war before America could get in it.
@daggers93 Plus it also had a dodgy breaking system that usually set the wheels on fire. This particular incident is shown in two newsreel films of Hitler visiting his then Finnish Ally, Marshal Mannerhiem. The German film shows two Luftwaffe men rushing towards Hitlers Condor with fire extiguishers, whilst the Finnish newsreel footage shows the Condors wheels smoking away.
