Here is a little video I made on a recent trip down to the little Seal Beach in La Jolla. You can see a mother nursing her pup after giving him some swimming lessons. If you would like to help these seals stay on this tiny beach and tell people that they can go to one of the other 500 square miles of beach in San Diego County, please write to our state officials, their contact info is below:

I am not personally affiliated with either group (though if my kids were older and I had more time I would be! I have donated money to them though.) I am a citizen of San Diego and a HUMAN BEING who says enough is enough!

  • seals will go to any beach they are close to stupid,if they come ashore just leave them alone

  • Stupid people shouldn't have rights.

  • And Rats don't have rights!

  • If you want a beach just for the seals, go raise your own money and create your own seal beach. This beach is bought and payed for.....

  • Mis informed propaganda Mr. Hord , divers can share the beach, they are not selfish! like you and the seal huggies who want to close the only MAN MADE BEACH, and there is not 500 square miles of beaches, there maybe 500 square miles of COAST that the seals can go, and they are protected by the MMPA, you of all should now that!

and BTW, the beaches that a a couple of yards away are the most dangerous beaches in La Jolla for rip currants for people not seals.
