Loneliness - A Short Poem

I am named that unknown
I wish that name I had outgrown
But alas I am still here
I am still here all alone
I am still here on my own

I live a life of terrible tone
I live myself all alone
Though they surround me still and now
I live myself on my own
My life resounds a monotonous drone

There was a lady I had known
And to her whims I fell prone
I never find her anymore
While I stay here all alone
While I stay here on my own

Rather Midas but Medusa she shown
And turned my heart to one of stone
After offering me a heart of gold
Then I knew Im all alone
Then I knew Im on my own

My broken heart I had sewn
Although it hurt in every bone
I had forgotten what she had done
Because I knew I m all alone
Because I knew Im on my own

I once sat high upon a throne
For that sin Im forced to atone
But now I cant take it anymore
I dont want to be all alone
I dont want to be on my own

To God I owe a terrible loan
I wish that payment he would postpone
I cannot breathe through this debt
But this payment he wont condone
I know I must reap what I have sown

I stand high up on a stone
Announcing to the world how Ive grown
But no one hears what I have to say
Because I stand all alone
Because I stand on my own
