  • Beautiful lantern . I am looking for a replacement ( s ) for my old Camping Gas Lampe GT lanterns . I have several of these . I love them & been using them for years , they are superb little lanterns but recently I having problems getting the small 106 gas cartridges. Its very frustrating because I love these lanterns . If anyone knows where I can get the 106 cartridges in the UK id love to know plus Id buy a quantity ? There are some good lanterns available but non as good as the old Lampe GTs

  • @TheLowey08 perhaps a camping shop called "M & S" supplies or the online shop/auction "E bay" or "blacks" or the one i would try is "millet's"

hope you have good luck finding the 106 gas cartridges

  • Brilliant, I keep looking at these on Ebay but never get round to buying one..

How long do the mantles last?

  • @austinmaxi555 illd say about 7 years depends how often it gets used

this one has never been used since it was pucharsed in 1980!

  • Thats quite effective!

I have an old cathedral oil lamp from about 1800 which I could use.

  • @steamwally you should make a video ill like to see that (:

  • Campingaz lanterns are reliable and they last longer. I have three lanterns for camping 1 coleman propane lantern which is a year old, a campingaz lumostar plus pz which also is year old and we (me and my friend) found an old campingaz lantern in a abandoned house so we took the lantern with us but we havent used out yet since we don't have mantles right know. When we return to our home i will post a video about it.

  • @MrSteamdan HI thanks for that . I have also been looking at making up an adaptor from an old globe trotter stove and a hose , etc , to refill empty 106 cartridges from screw on type cartridges. Anyway thanks for the info I will follow that up also.

  • More affective than the 1 I used once, il have to get 1 eventally when I start driving becuse il probally have a tent for rallys.

  • If I can get the right oil for it I will.
