Musical innovation and individualist philosophy are Americas two primary exports. Stephen Foster is largely responsible for one of these things having primary export status. He is in no way, however, responsible for the rapping grannies phenomenon or They Might Be Giants. This is a video of me playing Fosters song My Old Kentucky Home at my high schools talent show back in 06. The instrument Im playing is a customized Weber Gallatin mandolin named Geneva.

  • Due to its controversial, archaic lyrics, this is a song you will rarely hear. The sun shines bright in the old Kentucky home,

'Tis summer, the darkies are gay

As you can imagine, the word gay causes quite a stir.
