The reproduction of seahorses is remarkable; the little man develops the eggs in a kind of pouch in the stomach. For the mating is a comprehensive courtship dance created including the colors change frequently. The female brings during mating, whereby the tails of a couple entwined, the egg cells in the bag, and then the male they fertilized with his seed. The male becomes as it were pregnant with the female, and protects the embryos in the belly up this can live independently and then come out of the bag and lead a life of its own. This is in contrast to most species the eggs precisely to their fate. There are more species in which the man the boy, but at a seahorse finds even the fertilization in the male instead, which is exceptional. After the young seahorses the father left, he can directly be pregnant again. Except broedzorg knows the Seahorse also yet another particularity; many species are monogamous, and continue throughout life. Also it is a social animal that lives up in groups, and very gentle in nature.
