der's sumthin ksi in MULAWIN dat requires a high level of xpertise frm the conductor. and how aniweng played it> mas pang NATIONALS. we'r talkin here bout TECHNIQUE. i can say this caus i've been there in the nationals as finalist.i saw how diff groups played this MULAWIN and during our time ONLY ONE group interpreted it superbly = PARANAQUE HS.. as in unanimous decision talaga> they played it so great that their conductor became a judge the following NAMCYA. :)

yeah. ung paranaque ang the first rondalla group to win in the NAMCYA. Ang galing nga nila eh. ang ganda ng interpretation ng mulawin nila.

is dat true? if paranaque high is the first rondalla group to win in NAMCYA, does that mean we (our batch) are the first competitors in the HS rondalla category? (in the history of NAMCYA) :)

yeah. It was in 1996 that NAMCYA included rondalla competition as one of the categories in their competition. and mulawin is the comissioned piece for that contest. yes, you were the first competitors in the 1st NAMCYA Rondalla Competition in 1996

WOW! as in W O W!!! haha. i didn't know that ha. :) anyhow, thanks so much for replying here and letting me know that.
because after that NAMCYA, another competition followed and that was the "Paligsahan sa Sining" (wherein we really did well) > i think it was like the Philippine centennial competition. somethin like that. like in NAMCYA, that means first batch competitors din kami dun... :)
