KXTV Channel 10 Sacramento Station ID from 1978

KXTV used this logo from 1978 thru 1986. I don't know the name of the announcer, but he did almost all the voiceovers for this station thru the end of the 1980s. At the end audio for the upcoming network show was picked up before the video was switched over.

Did KXTV use the "Take a Look" theme in their newscasts? Also, do you happen to have the "Take a Look" promo song from channel 10 as well?

I don't remember their newscasts back then; I'm in the Sacramento area but don't actually have too much old TV from here!

The voice here is by Jim Anthony. At the time this ID was done, he was also DJ at the now defunct KGMS radio.

WVEC, then a Corinthian station, also used a similar logo from about 1980-1992, the "1" is the same.

Yep- they switched over the audio a split-second before the video. Strangely it seems quite a few people taped "60 Minutes" as I have a few late 70s/early 80s shows from at least 2 different tape collections I've found.

I think KHOU used the same logo and when Corinthian sold their stations, they kept the same logo until the mid to late 1980s.
