Seeing Epcot within the year it first opened and years afterwards and then to come back and see the wand dangling over the sphere it seemed to take away from the whole purpose of "Future World" I was in shock to see it the first time thinking what are they doing. I am glad to see it gone.

@skArpPT - I say good riddance to that damnable wand..it was an eyesore.
-
@DisneyWorldVIP - It was a disgustingly ugly addition ...thank GOD it got removed.
For me the wand has been there since I first went to Disney World. I'm really sad to see it go, because I think that it gave Spaceship Earth character; it was more than just a gigantic white ball. Now it just looks plain.
And as for those of you who don't like the Sorcerer's hat at Hollywood Studios, what's wrong with it? I think its really cool. I went to Disney World the first year that it was up, and I really like it.

It's the world's first geodesic sphere. :-)

@DisneyWorldVIP The Sorcerer's Hat is really to me a giant eyesore. It blocks the view of the Great Movie Ride (based on Grauman's Chinese Theatre), which is an aesthetically pleasing piece of architecture. I think that the GMR, or the Disney Studios water tower should be the "park logo" (like Cinderella Castle, Epcot sphere, the Tree of life, etc), and not the sorcerer hat/kiosk.

@CrystalChord2010 Haha, I like that name, "The Sorcerer's Kiosk". I think I'm going to call it that from now on, hehe.
