  • Thanks Marenlene...

  • Your amazing! lol I do clicker training with my pony and was wandering how you teach them to walk in front of the wheel barrow

  • Well....first I taught him to stand still, then stand still while the wheel barrow was behind him (as you can see in the video). The part that I didn't video is teaching him to "Walk-on" to a verbal cue. If your horse knows how to walk with you, just say "walk-on," wait until he starts to move, then click/treat. Do this a few times and keep working with it until he can walk ahead of you. Then go back and work the same thing using the wheel barrow.

  • thanks for the advice! i see what you mean by teaching simple stuff first, i dont think i will try rearing just yet lol.

    thankyyyouu!! =)

  • Great job...and please keep me posted on your progress! Post a video too! Thanks

  • i really want to teach my pony tricks. i started with bowing today, and want to do other stuff aswell, deffinately rearing, when im on her and from the the ground, but i dont really know how to do it. has anyone got any tips?

  • Good for you; that great you want to teach your pony some fun stuff. I had fun doing things like basketball (I've got another video of Mantra playing basketball). Soccer is always fun and so is teaching them to fetch. I find it easier to teach them simple stuff in the beginning and saving rearing until MUCH later when they have a good understanding of WHEN to WAIT for the tricks. I know several people who have taught their horse to rear and then had problems keeping it on the ground. :-)
