  • My favourite type of foreigner in Japan is the type that says, "Man, I love Jackie Chan, now where the Great Wall at?" before realising they aren't in China.

Things I appreciated in this video:

    Horses.

Common misconceptions about Japan by other people:

That by being foreign, you will be cool and get a Japanese girlfriend. Lame.

    My misconception about Japan:

That they had Power Rangers instead of Police. Can't describe the dissapointment. It was a sad day.

  • @tomisinjapan I just assumed I hadn't met the Power Ranger police yet :<

  • I noticed one thing...people in tokyo are quiet/shy! but when i went to visit my friend in nagoya...especially on the trains are quite loud...people talk casually, the same in kansai areas, very open and funny...

  • @alicecaiello It's 'big city' syndrome I think. Tokyo is a mishmash of people from all over Japan - the cultural things they share that would lead to friendliness in the street are lost there. Osaka etc seems to have retained it's 'feel' that Tokyo lost when everyone from all over Japan descended on it. At least, that's my take on it.

  • 1) I have never laughed this much during any of your videos! 2) I didn't even hear the music until you mention it because you are in fact very loud. 3) I'm going to dear Sophia uni in t-1month! P.S. Neither of the former two comments were meant to offend. If you are offended please just stop rea-

  • @ComicKaze 1) Thank you 2) Yeah I am super noisy 3) Congratulations! Have a fantastic time! I'm not even offended at all *waaaah*

  • The music put me on! ROFL

  • Lol... When I went to disney world, a guy from japan who was VERY japanesesat next to me on a ride. Now, I'm blond and pale as the snow, and I guess he liked that. So he was stalkin me for the rest of the day O.O

  • I'd like to go study in japan for mine minor. but i don;t have the money . Can i ask you how much it will cost if you stay for half a year?

  • I like you :D

  • Well, I am two types, the Student and the Anime, someday maybe the Resident, but yeah. Entertaining video!

  • When i went to japan, everyone was surprisingly nice, and they were all like: omg you're from americaaaa??! XD

  • When I went to work in Japan in 2009 I ended up staying in a hostel in Tokyo for a while. One of the biggest misconceptions I came across with the tourists that came through was "Where are all the flash racing cars like in Fast and Furious - Tokyo Drift", They thought that at least every second car they saw would be flash and speedy.

  • Lot's a Japanese people in Japan who misrepresent Japanese people, who use the ignorants and stereotype of Japanese people, to humour foreigners or manipulate them.

  • Sadly, there are tons of ignorant foreigners who make us all look bad. No wonder they have developed such a bad image of us. But yeah. Pretty much everything that they associate with westerns is true. Just be yourself, and show that you care about Japan, and it's people. Make them see that you're not just another foreigner, but rather someone, who has chosen to stick with Japan's culture, because you see yourself as a Japanese person :) I do ^^ And I'm proud to have chosen that path.

  • yep English fly in the sky (drugs are not included) even though we all wrote haiku's in high school (at least Americans do)
