There's is a single New Year celebration in Thailand on 13 April.
But because Thailand is a touristic country, we celebrate January 1st,too.
We call it American New Year or French New Year but not Thai New Year!!!

Do you say the same phrases during the Thai New Year Songkran? I think for Thais songkran marks the beggining of a new year, chai mai krab?

For The Farang New Year you say แฮปปี้นิวเยียร์ [Haeppi Nio-Yia]
