Wrong. There will ALWAYS be music like this, even when such music is no longer written. That's because it is so enduring. It will forever withstand the test of time, long after ignoramuses such as yourself are forgotten. And you WILL be forgotten, rest assured. : )

@senoramariposa how sweet of you. im sure you will be remembered in life. But id much rather listen to good music.....the kind where emotion is strongly expressed in a way that makes you thrash your head to the beat and mosh. Where you just become pure emotion.
Not this shittt

Last night I listened to Rosa Ponselle's presentation and I truly agree that her interpretation is the most beautiful and flowing interpretation that I have heard, although Miss Anderson has sung Ave Maria better in other performances.

I think Ms. Anderson could match Ponselle with Bach's version but she always sang Schubert and while its beautiful it does not compare to Bach. Also as a contralto Anderson doesn't have those magnificent high notes.

Yes, but both artists have the flowing, reverent interpretation.

WRONG. Some Contraltos can sing right up into Mezzo-soprano range. It is not ALL about the range but also about the COLOUR and TONE of the voice. Marian was a CONTRALTO.
