@traintelevision OK thanks. if i held a brolly over the camera i reckon it'd be right. What would happen to my camera if i didn't use a uv filter? anything or does it just help the lens cope with the light?

if we get a repeat of this kind of weather (fingers crossed), are there any tips you might have about filming in snowy conditions?

@irwellsteam - wrap up warm & take a shovel to dig your car out the snow (as I got well a truly stuck last winter)..!!! but the same as rain .. cover you camera up as long as possible to avoid getting water damaged. if bright sunshine & snow - use a uv filter to stop the glare..
