@MilwaukeeDreadie the scope of the # of ppl that go to EU parties/festivals is larger...thats more of thae point i was trying to make....thats not to say they are better in ANY way....thats all a matter of opinion. music is alive! live and breathe it!

@mmontes15 i never dissed WMC, duder. i went in march of 2006&08. i even got robbed the second time i went on 2nd ave and 10th st. my point is that if you compare the sum of the the # of ppl that attend US events to that of EU events.......but if you want to go ahead and be a snobby prick about it.....

@MilwaukeeDreadie Hell, last time I was at conference we left our hotel room and got to the club at 4am and happened be sitting on the patio with a group from Detroit and the guy was telling us how he was just in awe of the scope of WMC. So I'm sure DEMF is bad-ass but to compare it to WMC is like comparing an apple to Washington State. (thats the top producing apple state BTW, I looked that up just to make that little quip!)  :) Anyway,like I said I guess its all opinion, but I know WMC rocks

@MilwaukeeDreadie My point is that in size and scope nothing even comes close to comparing with WMC except Ibiza. WMC is the singular most important event yearly in the industry, and though I've not been to Ibiza I've read a lot of comments from people that have done both that state that WMC is the better event. I guess thats opinion but... I mean how do you compare any festival that takes place in one venue to something like WMC with hundreds of venues with the worlds top DJ's.

@mmontes15 yes. actually i HAVE! in 2006. Ultra in 2008. DEMF 9 out of 11 years soon to be 10 out of 12. EDC 2007 and 2010 - the last at the Colesium. whats your point?!?!?!

To make a comment that you've been to better beach parties in Spain without taking the context of the entire conference into account is just foolish. Now if your comparing the whole of Ibiza to WMC I can understand that, but you can't possibly say that any one party is better than the entire WMC.

As for all these people talking about going to better parties in EU, you don't know what the hell your talking about. This video is showing ONE PARTY! ONE! There are HUNDREDS of parties going on morning, noon and night for a week straight. Top DJ's from all over the world and people come from all over the world, INCLUDING EU to get there. I've met people there from Britain to Germany, France to Lebanon to Canada all coming for WMC.

I don't believe that all these people talkin crap about WMC have ever been. Otherwise they'd just shut up. WMC is the singular most significant electronic music event on the yearly calender. Watch Traxsource and Beatport and watch how all the labels gear up for it with their releases, then their after releases. Ibiza is big and you'll see a little of that, but it doesn't hold the weight that Miami does in the industry.
