How do folks care for hte emotional well being of crabs?
I ask because I don't really see them as really having much of an emotiona need, but would someday like to get some.
I don't want to be a crappy crab owner.

Hmmm, It depends who you ask, some people like sand, some like coconut threads and some like other stuff... I have seen some people with split their tanks and put half sand, half coconut. I personally like sand because I can filter it and get out all the poop and stuff.

Cool vid, but you should probably use sand as your substrate instead of those rocks so your crab(s) can bury themselves and molt, Mine are constantly buried. -I have 7 in a 20 gallon tank

my hermit crabs are chicken shit! if i go up to the tank they will hide in the shell until im out of the room

i heard hermit crabs arn't treated properly at pet stores so, it must have ben eager to get into a better suited shell....

mine just changed shells to i put her in for like 5 mins and she changed, i guess the store dident have more shells
