Lifehouse- From Where You Are (Allstate Commercial)

The making of the song that's in the new Allstate teen driving commercials. The song is "From Where You Are" by Lifehouse.

Jason wrote the song himself for the Allstate Teen Driving program, which is aimed at getting parents to talk to their children in an effort to reduce teen driving deaths.

At the end of the commercial that features this song, Dennis Haysbert, the spokesperson for this campaign, says "every year, nearly 6,000 teenagers go out for a drive... and never come back."

On Monday December 31st 2007 New Year's Eve, my friend Casey was killed in a car accident on his way to work, he was 25 and left behind his wife of 2 1/2 years. He was a police officer in Cedarville Ohio. Everytime I saw this commercial while it was running on TV I would think about him and how much we all miss him. Let's all be safe out there.

I'm convinced the people that make TV commercials are in a conspiracy with the anti-depressant pharmaceuticals. The commercials have fully depressing songs so you watch enough of them sitting on your couch out of work and in debt that pretty soon it's time for "ask your doctor if non-drowsy "MIKOK" is right for you"

Everytime i hear this song, it's a reminder of the pain i felt losing my bestfriend of 13yrs. Just a month and a day after his 16th, his car was t-boned into a tree by a drunk-driver. I lost both my bestfriend and cousin in that one accident. This song is just a heart-breaking reminder of how bad it hurts to lose two important and close people to you. It's like losing apart of you.
