ps- i have a couple other tank videos up that are dated so you can see how much some of the corals have grown. i think a lot of people overthink their tanks because mine is very hands off and it is absolutely thriving.

i unmodded mine. i have no filtration of any sort, no skimming, no sponges in the back, no heater... i dont dose anything, i rarely ever change the water... nothing. its just a bare tank with a korialia 1 for flow and the lighting fixture. i drip a gallon of kalk over the course of 3 days for the sps and feed every three days and thats it. the tank is around 10 months old now, started it from scratch, this is my first aquarium of any sort. everything is happy and growing like craz :)

Do you have any accompanying lights with it like T5s, or Compacts?

I don't have this setup at all anymore, but when I did the only light I had was the 150w metal halide. I don't know of any reason to combine lighting types unless you want an hour of actinic for effect after the main lights go off or something.. halides are powerful enough alone to grow anything.
