ok cool. nice to see another (of a million) half life geek :D I know man, i really hope ep3 puts in some nods and references to portal in there. can't wait.
Random, I know that. I love both half life and portal. Im excited to see the new portal tech in the ship. I am dying to see even more story progression with portal. If somthing in-game of episode 3 is layered with Portal 1, I would cry with joy. And to anyone else who reads this, are there any leaks on the black mesa mod release date?
Watch Machinima's history of Valve. they say it was an experimental thing that they put in with the Orange box because they wanted to try it out with gamers to see how they would react to it. They ddn't release it by itself cause they weren't sure it would work.
i dont believe it was ever meant to be a tech demo, just a short game, similar to ep 1 and ep2. im not sure if it had anything to do with it being released in the orange box alone with ep 2 and tf2, but i dont think so
they had originally made it longer, but they felt it disrupted the pacing, so they cut it out. you were supposed to meet the "rat man" and have a large section after you break out where you break back in, then back out again, but it was all cut out in the final release.
I'm not even angry, i'm being so sincere right now, even though you broke my heart and killed me, and tore me to pieces, and threw every piece into a fire
hey prison break wasnt trash i think they maked the story like tat cause they want to explain how all of the family actually is connected to the company the only thing that i think is trash is heroes how everything go like shit in a such fast paced
well yeah, portal was never supposed to be a full length release. It was an experiment - like a tech demo like lost coast, only cooler. so you wouldn't even expect it to be longer than a couple hours.
