Can someone direct me to an immaculate rendition of this song? I've listened to like a billion and they all seem to be lacking whether in the clashing chords and harmonies, the quality of the voices, or the overall blending of pitches.... If you ask me, this isn't a song for just anyone to sing. Its a beast and should be represented as just that... a beautiful beast if you will. lol so... Beautiful arrangement anyone?

Haha...i would say this one was really good...listen to the chord at 2:04 . that is extremely good if you ask me. they won first in state at the competition lol...this video is one of the best ones out there...but of course i am biased because they are from my school and many of my friends

Ok.... So I did listen again.... I just.... wasn't sold. Although sometimes recordings don't do justice... I'm sure it might've sounded better if I were actually in the room, but I still think there are phasing issues and the clarity in the chords (Even the one at 2:04) could've have been BEYOND heaven. BEYOND epic. I don't know.... Again, I don't wanna ruffle feathers.... Just a statement. It is without a doubt that there is an AMAZING group of singers there. They were great, but just that. :-S

well first of all, the original is played by a harmonizer where she sang one line and the notes were perfectly matched ELECTRONICALLY (it was not originally a choral peace)...there is no way a 16-person group can match the overlays and overtones of an electronic piece., u said u want a decent version of this, and of the ones u heard how does this rate?

Yea I've heard the original... I did a colorguard piece to this song for my girls to part of the song... I understand that human voices can't match how it is originally but I guess I'm just expecting the impossible but I don't think thats so...So maybe it is that all I hear while listening to choirs doing it is the original. I don't know. Lol but this is definitely one of my favorites.

compared to some of the other versions of this ive heard on youtube, this is by far the best. good blend, tone, and practically flawless on pitch. i would go as far as comparing it with the original. :]

I saw them sing this song at CMEA a couple of years ago, and I think they might've done a little better there as it was pretty much perfection. I can hear a few flaws in this recording, but it's still darn good!
