Garry Smith- Avery Island-Slide Guitar

Instrumental in open D (DADF#AD). Avery Island is a nature reserve in Louisiana owned by the McIlhenny family who make Tabasco sauce. How's that for a contribution to the well-being of Mankind. In my mind this piece has a sort of Cajun waltz feel.
(The audio may leave a little to be desired, but we got the right mic for others in this series.)

For the aspiring reso owner....If you want to play standing up, have good lower back strength....Be prepared to find all other acoustic guitars slightly disappointing...At any session you will have the coolest guitar in the room, deal with it.....Start saving. You WILL want a National. I did and I have. That's why the previous suggestion will no longer apply if I'm there. Welcome to unhealthy obsession.
