This was my Granny's favorite song. We have a 78 of this song and Neapolitian Love Song with Richard Crooks singing. She always loved to play that on our Victrola.

Jag tror inte många nuförtiden egentligen fattar hur stor Jussi var. Jag önskar att Jussi i samband med att det nu är hundra år sedan han föddes, skulle återupptäckas av dagens uppväxande generation. Han var och är i en klass för sig när det gäller skönheten i rösten, tonsäkerheten och en fulländad teknik. Jag brukar sällan få tårar, men när jag hör Jussis undersköna stämma blir ögonen alltid fuktiga.

I am from a family of lyric tenors, grandfather, father and uncle. They sang the songs that Bjorling sang--same time period. Of course Bjorling was mightily greater in voice and technique but as I listen to these videos I hear them all. Thank you
