The Emerald Tablets, written by Thoth, also called Hermes Trismegistus, speak of the main principles or universal laws by which the cosmos works and had its origins in ancient Egypt as a source of light, of cosmi knowledge. They need blood or the life force of the person to enter: only thru blood could they have formed being, only thru man could they live in the world, when the blood was offered they came to dwell among men.
