I cannot believe how wonderfully good this show was. i mean, it had everything. This ending is so. . . . Shakespearean, so profound and poignant. I miss this show and its cast.

I loved John Corbett on this show reading his poetry over the radio and of course Rob Morrow too who made the show great. This was an excellent, memorable show. I have some seasons on DVD now. Thank you for posting.

I love John's sexy voice....I miss this show =/

@RoyFive yes, those characters are "eternal", one can always think about them and see them live :)

I'm wondering what Adam had to say about Joel's feeble attempt at juggling.

I will gladly pay an extra 5 bucks for the un-edited original score show, but I wont buy the dvds without original music. The musical score is just as important in telling the story and setting mood as is the dialog. Does anybody know if DVDs without substitute music is available? P.s. One of the best T.V. shows ever made.

Yep, I know some people living in the wrong Zip-Code in life.

@etbella3 I don't know what you're on about with all this political stuff, but leave me out of it. I don't know you and I don't care to hear your opinions. This is a Northern Exposure thread; take the politics somewhere else.

@jenniferyang7 Google " Robert Burns My love is like a red, red, rose" and you'll find the whole poem. It's wonderful :-)

@ameroux Mirage. My rage at what has happened to the Last Frontier. George Bush, Obama, they all kill the planet.

@ameroux Check out the word Legion as in the "mysterious, magical" Legionnaire's Disease that killed a bunch of people in days of yore. I told you that Washington politicians have the mad cow disease. That's the whole point of Sarah Palin parading her Down's Syndrome baby all over everywhere, even to the bloody site of her most recent wildlife kill. Neurologically challenged, that's Washington. And they let their fingers do the walking all over the nuke button.
@viands: Do you know why the DVDs don't have the original music? Is it a copyright issue or something? Thanks for posting these.

Yes, this is exactly why. The producers worked hard and many record companies gave permissions but there must have been some holdouts. I tried to watch the DVDs but the substitutions took too much away for me.

One of the most splendid, perfect endings of a television show ever. Does anyone know what song is running under Chris' voice as he reads the poem?

It's another Swartz original, I believe. It has that characteristic warmth.
