  • Sally jo....i still love you...Marc

  • who wrote this song? I really like the leo sayer version but i do love peter too.

  • In my opinion, Mr. Cetera had an image problem when he left as the bass player/singer/songwriter from Chicago to become a solo performer because he came off as too slick for his own good. In recent years, over several interviews, one gets the impression that he is a genuinely nice guy. However, back when he was forced from Chicago, he appeared to be too egocentric and too commercial. Too bad he wasn't portrayed as the artsy guy he is.

  • He really brings out the drama of the song. We should remember Leo Sayer as the man who was tallented enough to recognise some of the most beautiful love songs....and then record them.

Without him, song like this would never have a place in history.

  • and one more, for the person who reads this and thinks life is bad, that its not worth living.

I have been on both sides, broke and now labeled rich..and you know at 02:02 CST 05-24-08 I am no better off...Yes I have had the cars, had the women, done the drugs..its the same old thing..in search of happiness...

Be happy for what you are, and respect others.

Cherish the moments here on earth good or bad, cherish them all..Im living proof

  • yes my friend, I felt this once too..

your song makes me cry, I have been in love..

To the person who reads this or listens to the song and sheds a tear, its for you, and its okay.

I feel the pain even today, and its okay..

Thank you Peter, for sharing the feeling in your song..

I have been in love...and one day I hope to find happiness and peace again..

  • This ballad is one masterpiece that was popularized by Leo Sayer in 1982. My favourite version is Cetera's "world allin down" album in 1992 with one incredible work to guitarist Tim Pierce and one of my favourite keyboard player: Jeffery C.J Vanston

  • Superstar Peter!!!I love him in this Song.Wonderfull.

    Best wishes from Germany

  • I own the album they put this live version of the song. Live from Salt Lake city. Probably the best live version of thing song he ever did.. I'm a huge Cetera and Chicago fan myself. thanks for the uploads man.
