Great video! My great uncle's B24 crashed on Ireland Island. The men were seen on the beach, but were captured before they could be rescued. He was wounded in the crash, and was later killed by the Japanese because he was physically unable to make it to another camp deeper in the mountains. I'd love to visit that beach.

This was great! I am so glad that you had the chance to visit your uncle's crash site. My wife's grandfather was a navigator on B-24's all through the war. We need to be sure to thank all the surviving veterans for what they did to help preserve the freedom we enjoy today. God bless America!

Wow. What a great video. Im glad you got to get a piece of your family history. My grandfather was shot down over Germany in a B-24, and only he and one other member of the 10 man crew survived. He was captured, marched,etc... and the finally liberated.
He was luckily able to return to his crash site also and recover an actual artifact to keep. That means alot.

It's an B24 liberator. liberator means freedom in French. It's a WWII bomber.
