  • there were no gypsy influence in Enescu's music,gypsi's are inspired by romanian music in first place,Enescu captures the romanian flavor indeed,but its all romanian folklor!

  • My wind ensemble played a transcription of this last week in concert with a Central/Eastern European theme. There was more magic in the Enescu than in the Dvorak, Brahms or the Tchaikovsky we played.
