I just got my Boomerang III updated to the newest firmware which unlocked the Free Play mode. This is something I came up with real quick. I was not playing guitar as this was being recorded, the loops were recorded beforehand. Also I didn't mic my amps up like usual. This is just the Flip camera mic.

Running into a Matchless Chieftain and a Fender Blues Jr.

  • hi again!!! Do you still use the boomerang in your setup? if not then what have you replaced it with?

    Cheers!

  • @thabudmaster i still use it.

  • Howdy, nice video! How do you get both the octave and the reverse assigned to the same button?

  • @jeddwards It's actually not... the camera angle just makes it look like the octave is selected when it's really not.

  • Does it have a mic input like the RC20XL?Thanks!

  • i've been recently entertaining getting this device, and after lots of reading and several videos, your raw demonstration just tipped the scales in favor of getting one. i currently use two Akai Headrush pedals, which are great delay/echo pedals - decent loopers, but do goofy things after playing a loop for a continuous 10 min or so. i think i'll sell one and get this dedicated looper to handle looping. i'm grateful for the video.

    thanks for sharing!

  • @hiddenflask yes, you can record from both inputs at the same time.. i usually have a guitar/effects chain into input 1, and a keyboard, or sometimes a mixing board plugged into input 2.

  • do you run anything thing through your fx loop in your amp?

  • is it possible to plug in two instrument and have them both be playing/recording at the same time? for instance, if i got a mic with a 1/4" guitar cable adapter, would i be able to beatbox or sample my voice and have my guitar still play? i guess i'm asking if stereo inputs means that it automatically shoots either track to the left and right respectively...would it just be best to get a splitter and record in mono?

  • how much that pedal?

  • Hey man. I got a blues jr. and I run some overdrive pedals through them. (Ts-808, route 66). I was wanting to hear your opinions on what it sounds like with overdrives on.

    Thanks!
