How are the grades on that railroad? Pulling might not be the issue! With a train that long it's stopping you gotta worry about!

As this railroad existed back then, it had gradual grades through out its entire route. The long view across the area from the bridge was all up hill! Due to the drag resistance of this long of a train, stopping never was an issue. And, a gentle hand on the throttle, also helped with controlling this length train. Thanks for the interest.

Very impressive,thanks for putting this up,I was under the impression that an Atlantic was incapable of that kind of power.

Thankyou for the nice compliment. Your feelings about the pulling abilities of Atlantics is shared by many in the hobby. But what I did was to follow the advise of a very accomplished live steamer. Who just hasppened to own a similar Atlantic. That also could pull.
