You are absolutely right. Ariel Sharon has been in army since 1948 and fought all the Arab-Israel wars and retired as a general (Wikipedia). Benjamin Netanyahu was also in army as a commando.

As this how long people are taken into journalism then go deeper studies into issues such as globalization, conflict resolution, climate change, energy and water mangement issue, nuclear profleration, then to 1 to 2 years to write well reaserched books startign to work for local dallies before getting work from majors taken extra links it helps to work in NGO as they are a pressure group and be socialite to build networks . One of main drawbacks of not having a civilain real complimentary intelligence agency is that Pakistan ISI lacks penetration in western media and think tanks as ISI due to roots in army excels at operational planning but is weak at devloping assets in media and think tanks . Israel is shrewd enough to use immense wealth and idealogical underpinning of well wishers to influence the American goverment. They have built a very powerful lobby group , stranglehold on media ownership nand editor or censorship. organistation which have lately copied by indians since last 13 years today you find indians in think tanks, as jouranalist in local and major papers in us and now alos in policy making .Pakistan should build a civialin nnetwork of jouranlist , and in think tanks

Marukh is much better than Hina in the sense sense her comments do imply a diffrent sense of what Mr Zaid is saying . Murukh just nudges what he is saying . She one patient listener . What Mr Zaid means is means there should be no discconect b/w security considerations and cicivilan rule best way to achieve it by everyone serving in arm forces who know exactly they are facing for wider policy making . in Israel all 18 year have to serve .Pak can get disciplined , fit worforce

Syria has the same policy, every male is supposed to serve 2 years in the army otherwise you are ought to pay $5, 000 to avoid joining the forces so people who can't afford to pay join, others, flee the country to seek future in their careers and make enough money to pay 5Gs to the army/govt. cause you can't fly back and enter once you leave the country until or unless you either serve 2 years or pay 5Gs...
