Tomb Raider 2 Secrets Speedrun - Temple of Xian Part 1

Part 1 of the Temple of Xian done in 15:26 collecting all secrets.

This level was done in 2 segments. A ton of tricks and tough jumps in this run. First, an improved method for the curve jump. Then a turn-in corner bug to get past the trapdoor. A grab-cancelling method of getting to the Stone Dragon quickly. At the first temple, you can avoid triggering the 2nd tiger by jumping off to the right. A corner bug gets you to the upper area very quickly.

Getting around the swinging spikes is about the timing of jumps. If you follow my jumps exactly, the spikes will always move to the left when you approach. In the springboard room, I take a couple shortcuts to avoid the boulders altogether but then lose a couple seconds having to jump around them.

There were 3 mistakes in this part, 2 instances of hitting the wall, and I was a little slow pulling the 2nd lever near the end.

Yeah, they're a bit pricey, maybe check E-bay. I got one for $80 at walmart about 4 yrs ago and it was used close to a thousand times from all the attempts at each level. Now it makes an annoying nosie when it loads a disc but somehow it still has life haha.

@RadxxRyan Looks like I have a regular DVD player, and one without a record option. Looks like I'm out of luck unless I get a DVD recorder that can record?

Yes, just gotta have a console system (ps, ps3, xbox, wii, etc) and some blank dvd discs and hook up the recorder to your tv, and the console a/v cable to the recorder.
