  • Poem written after a discussion with differing opinions about whether to sing the national anthem in celebration of independence day in Sri Lanka which fell on 3rd day of 10 day residential training conducted by Sandhi Institute (sandhi.org). The author (a Tamil woman) wrote this touching poem after the difficult discussion which was facilitated in a way to create connection & mutual understanding. She dedicated the poem to the Sinhalese man who initiated the request to sing the anthem.
