Mariano Pavone MISSES PENALTY!
Legendary club River Plate was relegated to the Argentine second division for the first time in its 110-year history on Sunday, sparking ugly steet battles between police and fans just outside its Monumental stadium.
The drop came after a 1-1 draw with Belgrano in the second leg -Belgrano won the first leg 2-0 - of a demotion playoff. Mariano Pavone scored in the sixth minute for River, and Guillermo Farre equalized in the 62nd.
Violence broke out a minute before the match was even over. Fans pelted players with objects thrown from the stands, and police replied with high-powered fire hoses.

@polienfermo the president of the club Moggi was wrong, not Juve! Inter should have been punished too, but it's not important, look who is number 1 in Italy now :-) Juve was and alway's will be one of the greatest clubs around EVER.....

@AnniePelletier1 You are welcome if it can be of any consolation. I know what I'm saying, being fan of Juventus myself. These clubs have made history and their glory can not be tarnished by one season or dirty machinations of some other 'well-wishers'. Fuck all of them!!! FORZA!!!
