A flash of light is emitted onto the skin through a glass head. the heat energy is absorbed by the hair down to the follicle. Over a series of treatment, the hair follicle is destroyed and no longer grows back.
the process is slightly uncomfortable but anesthetic cream can be applied 1 hour prior to numb the area. Alternatively, the skin can be cooled prior to being treated.
