Sample chain! Oh boy!
This is a sample of Pete Rock & CL Smooths "T.R.O.Y", which sampled Tom Scott & The California Dreamers "Today", who covered Jefferson Airplanes "Today".
love music

I can see what you mean. I enjoyed the beat, however.

That is the problem. it isn't a good remake, the man made the same beat from the same sample. No creativity production wise, sincere or not

This is a great remake. Sometimes imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Besides it's not the real song.

Ouch. This is weak. And i like Lupe fiasco. But you cant remake this classic.

The original track isn't exactly an original composition, as it samples from jazz musician Tom Scott's 1967 song "Today."
With that being said, Pete sampled while Lupe's producer straight up copied/ripped off. Regardless, I still love Lupe. FNF ^
Hey, it could have been worst. Imagine if Lil Wayne/Diddy sampled this. Or Flo Ridah sampled it to make a club mix.
