Two is Better Than One [You Took My Heart Sequel] Episode 1

Taylors POV
I was thinking. Thinking of the mistakes I have made in my life. I have to say the biggest one I have ever made was leaving my one true love... Selena. I havent seen or talked to her in 7 years. I always wondered if she missed me as much as I missed her. Once a week I would called Rob and Demi to get an update on how she was doing. I havent called in a month though.
I walked out my office and waved to Jenna my assistant and she smiled at me.
"I'll see you tomorrow Jenna," I told her grabbing my coat.
"Have a nice evening Mr. Lautner," she said with a warm smile on her face.
Jenna was in her mid 20s. She was about my age. She had curly blonde hair and was very pretty, but in no comparison to Selena.
It was frigid outside. Im glad I chose to drive to work today. I hopped in my car and turned up the heat. I shivered in my seat and sat there for about 5 minutes until I warmed up.
When I opened the door of my apartment I was immediately greeted by my small Jack Russell Terrier Skipper. He jumped on my leg and barked a few times.
"Be quiet Skip," I said sternly.
He ran over to his food bowl and picked it up and dropped it at my feet. He looked up at my and sat down giving me a puppy dog look. I smiled at his cleverness.
"I'll feed you in a sec. First I have to call Rob."
I picked up the phone and dialed his number. It rang a few times then he answered.
"Hey Taylor!" he said.
"Hi Rob."
"Whats up?" he asked already knowing what I was going to ask.
"Not much. Same old same old. Hows Selena?"
"She is moving. She hasnt told us where yet," he replied.
I wished for her to move to New York. I doubted that this would happen.
"I miss her so much," I said woefully.
"I know. You say that all the time," he said a little irritated at my mood.
"I wish that the day I moved I turned the car around and went back for her!" I yelled over the phone.
"We all make mistakes", he said back.
"Easy for you to say! You married your high school girlfriend!" I countered.
"Calm down Taylor. Im getting a little sick of this argument. Every time you call you say the same thing. You have to move on," he said aggravated.
I looked down, "Sorry. Um I have to go. Bye."
He sighed, "Bye man."
I hung up and grabbed Skippers food bowl and filled it up. He ran over and began to eat. God Im such an idiot.

Selenas POV
We finally made it to our apartment. My fiancé wrapped his arms around me and whispered into my ear.
"Welcome to New York baby," he kissed me on the cheek and let go.
I frowned. I cant believe Im getting married...to someone other than Taylor. But Drew loves me and Taylor...doesnt.
I shook my head lightly to get the thoughts of him out of my mind. Drew came back in and with a box and begin to unpack. I helped.
"Are you okay Selena?" he asked as he was putting pictures on our dresser.
I gave him a fake smile and nodded.
"Yeah. Im just a little tired thats all."
He smiled back, "Okay."

1 week later

I picked up the phone and called Demi.
"Hey Sel!" she said sounding excited.
"Hey Dems."
"Are you going to tell me where you moved to yet?" she asked impatient.
I giggled.
"I moved to New York," I replied.
"OH MY GOD! YOU MOVED TO NEW YORK?!?!" she shrieked.
I laughed. Then I remember the real reason why I called Demi.
"Oh Demi! I have to tell you something," I said excited to tell her the news on my engagement.
"What?" she asked concerned.
"Im getting married!" I yelled waiting for her high pitched squeal.
"WHAT?!?!" she yelled shocked with a hint of anger in her voice.
"YOU CANT GET MARRIED!" she finally said, "What about Taylor!"
I felt the hot tears coming.
"Demi..."
"No Selena you cant! Maybe I shouldnt be telling you this but he loves you. I mean he calls every week to check up on how you are doing."
I felt a few tears escape from my eyes. I was shocked that he actually still cared.
"Have you told him about Drew?"
She didnt respond for a while. 30 seconds went by and she finally spoke.
"No. We didnt want to because he is really depressed. He wants you back. He tells Rob all the time that he made the biggest mistake of his life leaving you. If we told himhe would be heart broken that you moved on and that he never did."
I took in a deep shaky breath to calm myself. I didnt want to cry. At least not with Drew around.
"Selena? Are you still there?"
I didnt say anything for a while.
"Yeah Im still here"
"If he knew you were getting married he would kill himself. Selena, he loves you a lot and he regrets leaving you," she said sympathetically.
I gulped, "I have to go Demi. Bye."
I hung up before anything else was said. I fell down onto my bed and quietly sobbed. I missed him so much. Right now all I wanted was him.
