This song surely took my heart with it when I first heard it back in the 90s.. sadly, very few of the music that come out today bear the class or richness of the music that hall & oates, phil collins, mr. mister gave us back then...timeless music to my ears...

These types of songs will never ever come back again. So I cherish every moment I can with this one and all of H&O's songs. Thanks for sharing.

Wore this CD out back in the 90s. Wish I could find a video of their song "Heavy Rain." Hoping it'll get uploaded one of these days.

@MrGeogab1 Geez really hate it when people don't do their homework this is a Hall and Oats song, it was written and recorded in 1990 for the album Change of Season. When was the other version recorded? Years later I guess

When i saw John oates moustache for the first time in 1987 i thought... look at that greasy moustache, at that moment i knew i would enjoy men's moustaches for a very long time indeed.

Don't Hold is one of my all-time fav H&O songs! Change of Season is more like their style today. One of the few songs that H&O didn't actually write but you know they must have really liked it to record it.

God, those old VH1 logos had me taken back for a bit. I remember being younger and watching the top 21 every Sat afternoon! This was AND is a fantastic song! Thank you very much for the upload!
@greenbelter123 just looked into it and Daryl Braithwaite's version IS the copy. His version was in October 1991, therefore AFTER the Change of Season album.

@MrGeogab1 I was always under the assumption that H&O's version came first and Daryl Braithwaite's was the copy. Is this wrong then? I knew they were both recorded at a similar time.
