The truth is Avon is a cheap ass bastard. He could have just given Cutty the cash equivalent but noooooo, he gave him drugs in which Cutty had to sell for cash. Avon paid people like D'Angelo and Bodie a salary, meanwhile Marlo was given Michael and probably Fruit points on the package. Avon was a cheap,STUPID bastard. After getting locked up the first time he didn't want to even post bail for his crew, Stringer had to advise him to do so if he wanted to maintain their loyalty. Cheap fool.
