  • Few facts about OnLive: games can be removed whenever OnLive/publishers please, no mod support, poor quality graphics, huge input lag, most multiplayer games on OnLive are dead as you can only play with other OnLive users and some games such as FlatOut 2 and Red Faction Guerrilla (and others) even

have their multiplayer completely disabled. Also there's no way to backup your games so when a game is removed from the service It's gone forever, even for those who paid for a full pass.

  • @zamio1 Also considering OnLive games are EXACTLY the same as normal PC games it would be very easy to allow everyone to play together but because they don't virtually every single multiplayer game on OnLive is dead, I know as I've tested them myself. Also don't buy games from 2005? Are you fucking serious? Some of the best games I've ever played are from around then and some are even older and nobody has the right to tell me when and for how long I can play the games I paid for.

  • OnLive is a good gaming service. Don't like, don't use it.

  • @Phrix89 Well that hardly changes the fact that they doesn't work for him.

  • @Phrix89But the fact of the mater is OnLive isn't for people with high spec computers.

And besides. What about Crysis 2 on Steam? The fact of matter is, there are down sides to every type of platform for gaming. Discs can be broken, scratched, or lost.

Cloud servers can be hacked. Back-Ups can be destroyed as well. What about Origin? If you don't play for two years, they remove all of your data full stop!

There are downsides EVERYWHERE. Not all of them can be negated.

    TL/DR: Get a life.

  • @Phrix89 lol I'd love to know what these little tweeks where since I have loads of games I'm unable to play on my PC that I would enjoy doing again... but yeah side tracked away from all the other points I've been making.... I think this is definitely something people should try out first hand for themselves and make their own minds up... it is the first time i've seen this technology implemented and sure it isn't perfect yet but damn it's very promising.....

  • @ForMySinsEasyGamer Compatability modes works in all versions of Windows, you're confusing it with the 'Windows XP mode' feature only available in the Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate versions of Windows 7 which and has nothing to do with compatability modes.

Honestly, the vast majority of older games work right out of the box on Windows 7/Vista (and same for Windows 8 when it's released) while some need some tweaks, which are easy no matter how little you know about PC's.

  • @Phrix89 Id also like to quickly mention that my version of windows 7... which is home premium does not allow me to run in xp mode like the other versions do.... and therefore the compatibility mode is totally useless in it.

  • @Phrix89 and no I don't have a lower grade Desktop as per say but am genuinely impressed with the technology at hand here....

  • @Phrix89 I think your missing the point completely.. people love trolls but yeh... this technology allows people with a good connection but maybe a lower grade pc to play games that are new and old alike in the market regardless of their prowess in ICT to get copies working via the few minutes you state... it also allows them to play instantly and the playpack package is outstanding... no downloads other than the application and instant gaming on netbooks, desktops, tvs, mobile devices

  • @ForMySinsEasyGamer I've yet failed to find a game that was made for XP/Vista that doesn't work on Windows 7, just because older games don't state newer OS's in the requirements it doesn't change the fact like 98% of them work flawlessly while the other 2% only take a couple of minutes to get working.
