Birthing Kit Day 2009. Each year more than 500,000 women die in childbirth due to unsafe and unhygienic practices and limited medical and support services. 99% of these women are from developing countries. A simple Birthing Kits can arrest these statistics. The Zonta Club of Brisbane Breakfast recently packed 4,000 of these life saving packages, which are now on their way to Afghanisatn.
