RIP Gideon, Thank you UAA for getting out there and educating the public. This is such a wonderful breed of dog, loving, loyal, sweet. It's the owners not the dog that are the problem.

I rescued a pit bull from South Central L.A. in the late 80s who was so bad off that he had maggots in his face wounds. Sadly, this was long before pounds tried to save and because I couldn't afford the vet bills to get him better, I had to take him to the LA pound where they put him to sleep. I named him King but a lot of good that did. :(

We should all be advocates against this horrific madness... speak out! Don't turn your back! Do something! Say something! Don't turn your back or your head! These are sweet dogs...they deserve better!
