Undertow by John Mackey (LMC '08 Band 1)

This is a video of Undertow by John Mackey performed by the 1st band at the 2008 High School Longhorn Music Camp, playing under the direction of Dr. Robert Carnochan. This is the 4th and final piece of the concert. (By the way, this was the 1st video of this piece posted on youtube EVER... and the best!)

I played tenor saxophone in this piece.

I really like watching the conductor. He's so animated and into it. Also, it's really cool to follow the percussion and how they move (especially the timpani player, he looks cute!).

I love this piece. Just played this for Junior High All Regionals! i played Sax part. This song is stuck in my head O.o

This song is so easy and i play alto sax and im in middle school we had two weeks to get it done and the hardest we are playing is Baron Piquant on pointe by Donald Grantham and we have a few months to do it
