Boss HF-2 High Band Flanger

Here is an old Boss pedal made from 1985-95. This flanger pedal sounds a little different from the Boss BF-2, more mild of a sound, allowing you to hear the actual guitar without the flange overpowering (especially with chords). With distortion, you can really get that signature "airplane" kind of sound, so I also play this pedal with a Boss Xtortion. I am playing on my Dillion Strat into my Fender 15R

I had one for awhile. From what I remember it sounded much cleaner than the BF-2 and didn't have that weird bottom-out regeneration cycle. I think it's because it keeps the regen cycle in the higher frequency bands, i.e. "hi-band flanger"
